I absolutely love helping students reach their goal of learning to drive. Watching them make progress, get more comfortable, and sometimes overcome some pretty nasty fears is very rewarding for me. Since 2013 I’ve taught hundreds of students ranging in ages from 15 to 93 and from all parts of the world including India, Jamaica, Saudi Arabia and China just to name a few. Some of these students have never left the parking lot and some actually already have their license. I used to administer the driving test in Hillsboro and also wrote one of the old test routes for McMinnville. After starting my career with another reputable driving school, in 2016 I combined this newfound joy of teaching with a longstanding entrepreneurial spirit and Northwest Driving School was born. Each and every one of my students is unique in their experience and abilities and now I have the freedom to give them the individual and customized attention they need to be successful.

Greg is a retired CDL driver with 30+ years of professional driving experience. Needless to say this has equipped him with an amazing ability to anticipate the road ahead and the actions of other drivers. This is a huge topic of discussion with all of our students. Greg sees it as “driving for both vehicles, them and yourself”. He graduated from Dayton High School and has lived in the area for 64 years. Coming to us with an incredible knowledge of the area (and surrounding areas), an enjoyment for teaching eight of his family members to drive, and an extensive professional skillset has all made this a natural fit. We’re lucky to have him.
